KARMA

We’ve all heard the sayings, “you reap what you sow,” or “you get back what you give,” but how many of us actually take that advice to heart? The idea of karma wasn’t created merely to teach people how they should treat one another, it is a description of the way we create our own realities. What we give out we do indeed get back in one form or another. This holds true whether it be in thought or in action and it is the principle behind the law of attraction.

So how do you get your karma to work for you? The answer is simple: control your thoughts and actions. Make every effort you can to think positively, and act from your heart. Who you are on the INSIDE is more important in terms of karma than how you appear outwardly. If you are unsure of this, just ask yourself the following questions:

Am I judgmental of myself or others? If yes – don’t just change the words you speak.  Even if you notice yourself thinking negative judgments about someone, STOP and look for something nice to think about them. Remember that what you think is just as powerful as what you say or do. Learn to control it.

Am I selfish, mean or inconsiderate? Learn to be more thoughtful of other people’s needs and feelings. Think about how you would feel if the tables were reversed before acting at all times. Don’t be a user, liar, or cheat. Don’t abuse or take advantage of other people. Treat all other people as you would want to be treated – ALWAYS. This does not mean that you need to be a doormat or do things that are not in your best interest… remember to keep the balance.

Am I kind, compassionate and generous? Learn to be kind and compassionate on all levels of your being. When you do something for someone, or give a gift, does it come from your heart? Are you there for your friends and family when they need you? Do you know how to love others fully? Are you compassionate toward ALL people and all of the animals we share this world with? True kindness and compassion does not see color, sex, age, status, beauty or even species. True kindness, compassion and generosity are a few of the most important things we can ever master in our lifetime, and the rewards can be tremendous.

Am I an optimist or pessimist? It is always better to have a positive outlook than a negative one. What we give out (our thoughts and expectations as well as our actions) is what we get back. Would you rather receive the results of positive thinking or negative thinking? The choice is yours.

Am I grateful? Learn to practice gratitude for everything in your life – even the little things. Graciously accept gifts or help as they are given to you, and remember to always be grateful for the people we have in our lives… they are truly the universe’s greatest gifts.

Do I have faith? Learn to be at peace with where you are right now, even if it isn’t as you had planned. Learn to trust the universe to guide you toward your highest fulfillment, even if it has to drag you through the mud to get you there. Always trust and know that you are exactly where you need to be for your own greatest good.

What we experience in life is the result of everything we have ever thought, said or done. Learn to focus on the positive, be compassionate, gentle, loving and kind. When you can learn to truly live this way, from the inside out, karma will be on your side.

Ancient Japanese Technique Works Wonders For Those Seeking Spiritual Growth

The pursuit of spiritual growth has been steadily increasing in popularity and importance in western society and for those on this path it is an integral part of both their daily routines and long term goals. Meditation, prayer and yoga are a few of the most commonly recognized spiritual practices, but there is another option that can work wonders for you.Reiki is a Japanese spiritual healing technique commonly used for relaxation and stress reduction. While Reiki is great for relaxation, those of you on a spiritual path can also use Reiki to accelerate your spiritual growth and strengthen your connection to Spirit.A Reiki session in many ways is like having your spiritual batteries charged. When we go through our day and come across negative people or events, they tend to drain us of our spiritual energy. It is hard to remain positive and on course with your spiritual development, much less manifest anything wonderful into your life when you are spiritually drained. Reiki is a great way for you to replenish your spiritual energy so you can get back on the path toward your highest fulfillment and happiness.During a Reiki session, the practitioner acts as a channel for the Reiki energy, directing it down through their crown chakra and out of their hands into the recipient. The energy that they are channeling is the divine, all knowing spiritual energy that exists around us everywhere. People refer to this energy by different names in various cultures (prana, chi, ki, life force), but it is essentially the energy of love.“With love all things are possible,” said Melissa Marie Marcy, a Reiki master and owner of the Chicagoland Reiki studio, Virtuality. “Love is the essence of everything, the source of our spirit and the energy that powers our physical existence. When we are filled with love we are in harmony with our creator and can do extraordinary things for the benefit of not only ourselves, but for everyone we share our world with.”Melissa Marcy

MANIFESTATION CRASH COURSE

Everyone has something they would like to improve upon or obtain for a happier and more fulfilling life. Regardless of what it is, here are a few tips to help you manifest your wishes into reality.

1. Figure out what it is that you TRULY want. It is hard to manifest things into your life that really aren’t in your best interest because you will sabotage yourself along the way as a subconscious means of self preservation. Instead of pouring all your energy into manifesting things that you really don’t want, sit down and figure out what it is that you want in your life. Not what other people want for you, not what you think you should have, and not what you want to impress or appease someone else, but figure out what YOU want and why you want it.

2. Pick a goal that you want to manifest and focus on it. Imagine how it will feel once you have accomplished it. Visualize it and imagine how it will sound, feel, and even taste. Feel the emotions of joy and gratitude rise up within you and let those feelings expand throughout your entire being. Do this every day, have fun with it and enjoy your creation.

3. Work on forgiving yourself and others, work on releasing hate, jealousy, anger, fear and guilt and any other negative emotion that occupies your mind. It is very difficult to bring anything positive into your life when you are dwelling on the negative. We manifest our thoughts and by that rule, you bring to you more of whatever it is that is constantly in your thoughts. You decide what it is coming into your life by the thoughts you entertain. Choose to think better thoughts and you will manifest better things.

4. Focus only on the finished product when you are visualizing and let the universe work out the details for you. When you spend your time worrying about HOW your dreams will come to fruition you slow down the process because you are putting energy towards a feeling of incompleteness rather than a feeling of gratitude and joy. Trust that the universe will show you the way to completion and follow the guidance it gives you.

5. Relax and allow your dream to manifest. Try not to get obsessed or desperate about it as that will only delay the process. Believe that it is possible and have faith that it is already yours. That is it! Sometimes the dirty work of clearing out your negativity and developing faith in your own ability to manifest is harder than the manifestation itself, but it is well worth the effort to tackle those issues – not only for manifestation of your dreams, but for your overall health and wellbeing as well. Good luck manifesting, may all your dreams come true!

TEN CHANGES TOWARD A BETTER LIFE

1. Spend more quality time with the people you love.

2. Take time each day to exercise… even if it is just a long walk with the dog. Enjoy your time and use it to relax and regroup. Exercise does not have to hurt, nor does it need to be difficult.

3. Eat healthy, nutritious foods.

4. Meditate… preferably daily. You don’t have to be rigid about this… the long walk with your dog can serve as both exercise and meditation if you can quiet your mind.

5. Do things every day that make you laugh.

6. PLAY! Play with your kids, play with your pets and play with your friends and family. The act of playing helps to keep us flexible, creative, and happy. Playing with others improves the bond between you, creates memories that will last a lifetime, and improves your relationships. When you take time out to play with someone you are giving them the attention they deserve and showing them that you love them and care about them

7. Spend more time in nature.

8. Find time every day to do something that you love. If it is hard to find time it just means that it is that much more important for you to make the time. Never forget about yourself and your own happiness.

9. Sit down and figure out where you are right now, where you are headed, and where you actually want to go. Sometimes we aren’t headed in the right direction and without thinking about it we can get blown pretty far off course. Sit down and think about what you actually want, what you enjoy and where you want to go. Write it all out and make a plan of action. Do this at least once a month.

10. Take time each day to sit back, regroup and think about what you need to do that day to make your dreams come true. Mornings would be a great time for this as you are relaxed, refreshed and have the whole day ahead of you to get out there and do it.

Are you living your dream?

What is a dream? Dreams are those things that we would do if the world was perfect. If our lives had no limitations. Dreams are those things that would fulfill us on the deepest levels if we would only let them come into being. They are the things we would do in a perfect world. If we had no limitations or fears. If we truly believed in ourselves and let ourselves flourish to the height of our capability. The things we would do if we could allow ourselves to follow our passions and truest desires. Those are our dreams. What we dream about varies from person to person. We all chose to incarnate here for different reasons. Your dream might be to become a famous actor, maybe to find a cure for a disease or to end starvation. Maybe your dream is to become an accomplished artist or a bestselling author. Maybe you want to become a doctor, a musician, a dancer, a speaker, a healer or a parent. Everyone’s dream is their own and we all know what rings true for us deep down inside. Are you living your dream? We all incarnate here for a short time before we move on. What you choose to do with your time here is up to you. You do not have to wait for a perfect world to pursue your dreams – whether it seems so or not this world is exactly as it needs to be right now in each of our lives to help us down our individual paths. There is no such thing as a perfect moment or a perfect set of circumstances… if you wait for perfection you will be waiting forever. Realize that you have no limitations. Any perceived restraints are of your own design and it is up to you to decide if you are ready to pursue your dreams in spite of them. In reality there is never anything holding you back but yourself. You can do anything you wish, so shoot for the moon!May 2010 be the best year yet for you and may all your dreams come true!
